The Burger School for Students with Autism was established in 1973 to serve students ages 3-26 from throughout Wayne County.
Burger’s mission is as follows: “Burger School for Students with Autism is committed to maximizing the potential of each student to gain independence and self-fulfillment. Through a collaborative effort we will work in partnership with students, each other, parents, community, and local school districts to assure each student has the opportunity to become a happy, healthy, productive, and contributing member of society.” (From http://www.gardencityschools.com/schools/burger_baylor/index.php.)
Thanks to the generosity of those who attended and participated in last year’s car show, we were able to present a $2,500 check to the Lyman Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the Burger School!
